About the readers:

Born in Singapore, Jee Leong Koh read English at Oxford University and completed his Creative Writing MFA at Sarah Lawrence College. His poems have appeared in Singaporean anthologies, and in American and British journals such as Crab Orchard Review, Gay & Lesbian Review Worldwide, The Ledge Magazine, and Mimesis. His poem “Brother” has been selected by Natasha Trethewey for the Best New Poets Anthology 2007, to be published by the University of Virginia Press. He published his chapbook Payday Loans in April 2007. Of the chapbook, Marie Howe says, “Smart, irreverent, often unnerving, these sonnets smirk, smile, argue and bless.”

Ada Limón is originally from Sonoma, California. A graduate of the Creative Writing Program at New York University, she won the Chicago Literary Award for Poetry and has received fellowships from the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center and the New York Foundation for the Arts. She works as the Copy Director for GQ Magazine and is teaching a Master Class for Columbia University’s MFA program in Spring 2008. Her first book, lucky wreck, was the winner of the 2005 Autumn House Poetry Prize. Her second book, This Big Fake World, was the winner of the 2005 Pearl Poetry Prize.

Ah the Process

I was asked recently about my process and the only thing that I can really say is for me it comes down to three things. Inspiration from the outside world, procastination from the inside world, and some down deep determination to get freaking better. .....so I just write it over and over and over again.
